Kristie Nelsen

ARCHITECT OF RECORD – DIRECTOR

Kristie joined KARDENT in July 2015, an opportunity that aligned perfectly with her career goals. She was, and still is, so impressed by the entire staff’s capabilities and the company’s work culture. Kristie enjoys being surrounded by other dedicated, hardworking colleagues who all support one another. KARDENT has added so much meaning and happiness to her life by allowing her to be there for her family while also excelling professionally. Kristie is a mother of two and loves to mountain bike, paddleboard, surf, and snowboard. She also enjoys sharing her hobbies of arts and crafts, music, home improvement projects, and cooking with her children. Kristie has two large dogs, one cat, and a bunch of fish – she loves that it’s like a zoo around the house.

Kristie holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Architecture from the University of Michigan and a Master’s of Architecture from NewSchool of Architecture and Design. Her certifications include California Access Specialist (CASp), Project Management Professional, International Code Council Building Plans Examiner, LEED Accredited Professional, Safety Assessment Program Evaluator, and Autodesk Revit.

“It is important to me to be part of a company that shares my values and work ethic, while offering flexibility so I can maximize my potential as a professional and mother. It is so rewarding to work for a company that trusts and supports me in all of my endeavors.”
